Wadeye is a remote Northern Territory Indigenous community approximately 230 km (by air) south-west of Darwin. It becomes inaccessible for road transport during the wet season and supplies are delivered by coastal barge. Traditional owners are The Kardu Yek Diminin however the community supports over twenty clans from surrounding territories. Languages spoken include Murinhpatha, Marr-Ngarr, Marri-Tjavin, Magati-Ge, and Djamindjung.
